International Conference on Management, Hospitality and Tourism: a Multilevel Approach
“The Higher Institute of Administration and Languages | ISAL began its activity as a Higher Education Institution in the Autonomous Region of Madeira in 1984. The connection with the region where ISAL operates is one of its main concerns, as it aims to contribute to regional development and knowledge dissemination in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
It is in a global framework of internationalisation, but with regional compatibility, competitiveness and constant mutation that ISAL guides and builds its future, contributing to the transformation of the environment in which it operates and seeking new directions, without losing sight of those that have sustained the past.
The research process cannot be decreed, it must be fostered. In recent years, ISAL has devoted attention and triggered initiatives aimed at stimulating and increasing scientific documents and initiatives. Its main objective is to strengthen scientific communication skills, written or oral, through scientific stimulation activities.
The act of research is inherent in the fact that innovation exists. “Think+ 2021″ is an academic and business event focused on a multilevel approach. It aims to signal, discuss, and contribute with sustainable strategies within its area of activity.
The motto of this first edition is based on three strategic pillars: pedagogical practice, scientific production, and professional development.
The event, which has its first edition this year, aims to stimulate dialogue, sharing and dissemination of scientific knowledge, research and best practices in the fields of management, hospitality and tourism, in a multilevel approach. The “Think+ 2021” program includes plenary and parallel sessions and poster presentations. The abstracts will be published in a book of abstracts with ISBN and the complete version of the papers presented in the conference will be published in a book of proceedings with ISBN. The authors of the best papers may be invited to expand their texts in order to publish them in a scientific journal.
The concept developed for the international conference Think+ intends to congregate in a single brand created for ISAL, the three strategic pillars defined above, following the strategic plan of ISAL Scientific Research Centre for the four-year period 2019/2023.
The Think+ brand aims much more than making the acts of thinking, reflecting, or considering linguistically universal, it believes in a future that is structured in strategic axes, which make up the anagram that gives origin to the brand.
